I guess I paint from the hip. I can't really sketch, and when I do, it never turns out right. I don't take a lot of time. I find if I wait too long, I lose the original vision. I have sort of a hurried, frantic style. I prefer to take an abstract approach with hints of realism. Taking an everyday object, situation or environment and just dousing it in paint and skewing the reality of it is what I really try to do. With the digital stuff I try to stay symmetric. I think it makes more sense that way. That's what the machine wants to do, so I let it. A small bit about me: I am 30 years old. I have a wife and a 3 year old daughter. Art has always been in my life. I used to draw these crude little violent pictures when I was a kid. I played around with oil pastels, watercolors and a few other mediums. I put all it all aside for music for 10 years. Oil on canvas is my passion now. I can see the evolution of my style with each painting, with each stroke. I have lots of everyday influences, as we all do. I am also inspired by the works of Francis Bacon, Berhard Langer, Frank Auerbach and many others. I hope you enjoy my work. I find it difficult to write my own profile, so I’ll just let the art speak for itself. Please don’t hesitate to inuire for any further information.
