Bio:

Lee Knox is a Kansas City writer and artist who uses watercolor and gouache to paint cityscapes, iconic buildings, architectural elements and the occasional landscape. “Architecture reflects the features of time and place like few other subjects can,” says Lee. “I paint from photographs, adding colors which aren't really there - but should be." Lee received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas and has resided in the Kansas City area for many years. She studied Plein Air Painting with watercolorist Tricia Spencer, through the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, as well as spending time in Italy under the tutelage of British artist Russell Aspinall.
