ARTIST CURRICULUM VITAE Christi Roberts Bony’s (Bo-nay) artistic work starts with client driven and/or her own inspiration, ”What do people want to enrichment in their environments?” Beguiling, natural beauty with sadness wrapped up in paradox of joy? Her professional illustration and fine artist career began in Paris fashion houses where she worked with top acting and modeling agencies all throughout Europe representing the best international companies of the world, her favorite city of art, Rome, Italy as well as working with Top Floor Agency, she designed and produced product window displays Il Luminari Boutique, one of the city’s most fashionable and respected stores, showed her art, sales and commission works. A multi-style artist, publications have featured her art, “…she approaches her work with a colorful slice of life freshness. “ About half of Christi’s art are commissions. She knows that fine art and fashion reflect the economy, the moment in time we live in. She likes plein aire painting, the human spirit and form. She continues to expand her art working in new mediums, reflecting the spirit of resilience and power with the emotions that life evokes, and all that life does, art that make a rapid positive response. She considers her art a gift to share with others. Influenced by her grandmothers: one a tailor, the other grandmother a designer; she won state art competitions in grade to high school. Christi has a BA Degree in Communications/Advertising. She freelanced for Hallmark Cards for over 10 years, then invited and showed with Hallmark Artists nationally. Studied in Paris, France; Athens, Greece; London, England; Madrid, Spain and Rome, Italy; she continues to expand her paintings working in new mediums: oil, pastel, watercolor, mixed media, abstract and incorporates emotional spirit of power evoked by life. Studio paintings shown in international and national juried shows, owned by exclusive resorts, boutiques, professionals, corporate and private collectors nationally and internationally in Tucson, Arizona, Destin, Florida, Washington DC, San Mateo, California, Sonoma, California, SF, California, New York, New York, San Antonio, Texas, Madison, Wisconsin, Lafayette, Louisiana, Portland, Oregon, Escalante, Utah, Raleigh, North Carolina, and Australia. Works in multiple media: oil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, and designs sculptured one of a kind functional art inspired by her original paintings. They range from sculpted lamps, wedding accessories, shoes, memento tomes, fashion, cards, hand-painted wineglasses, product displays and fine art. PUBLIC ART She is a recipient of the Lighton International Artists Exchange, a Rocket Grant through The Andy Warhol Foundation, Escalante Canyons Art Festival Director recommendation and invitational Artist-in-Residency Escalante, Utah.
