Karen has studied art at both Johnson County Community College where we have the renowned Nerman Museum and at UCSD in La Jolla, having had a group exhibit in San Diego.  She has also taken many additional art classes; most  recently with, Mike Savage, Rebecca Pashia, Robert  Quackenbush, Ada Koch, and others, as well as individual instruction.

Her career in the art gallery field, after leaving the world of real estate expanded once again after moving back home to the Kansas City area from San Diego. She has served as Marketing Director at both The Gallery at Hawthorne Plaza and Leawood Fine Art Gallery.

She has rediscovered her passion for art and began painting once again. Her intention is to bring joy and inspiration to those who view and acquire her art.

Recent exhibits have been a Group Landscape show at The Buttonwood Art Space, art in an Abstract Show at Art at the Center, and has had paintings featured at Artichokes Gallery. Several exhibits are scheduled for 2009.

Her works of art are proudly displayed in many individual’s homes and she plans to expand into the corporate art arena with larger scale canvases. Karen is currently a member of the Kansas City Artists Coalition and she does commissions of art work.
