“My art is a combination of realism and impressionism. I paint landscapes, still-life, and people in oil and pastel with watercolor techniques. Viewers remark they feel a sense of peace when viewing my work. As I paint, I record lines, color, values, and shapes. In nature, how the scene is growing, becoming, changing--the translucence of a flower, the wind in the clouds, the interplay of light and shadow. My hand, eye, and response to the scene become one.
