Johnni grew up with one foot in the country and one foot in the city. Country won out and has influenced both her life and her art. Art has been part of life just as breathing is necessary to live. Mother's side of the family have artists scattered through out the generations so growing up drawing was just a common part of the daily routine.

Johnni's training was with a B.A. teaching art kindergarten through high school. Added to this was a masters of curriculum with an emphasis in the fine arts. This training has enabled Johnni to instill creativity and art appreciation in thousands of people. Johnni is now doing some mentoring, teaching and illustrating but devoting a lot of time and energies to personal art work.
