My philosophy about my art is a simple one , I paint what I have lived with and enjoyed all of my life, the rural areas of the midwest, the farming community ,pasture land and wildflowers. I hope that the people that view my work will have the same pleasant memories of quiet places that they have been or lived and enjoyed .

I consider myself a product of a lot of work and little formal art training except for workshops with artists that I have admired. I have been painting for over thirty years ,.working in several mediums ,oil, watercolor and acrylic. Recently most of my work has been in oil. I enjoy doing plein air paintings which I have been doing more recently.
