Debbie Wagner is a symbolic series painter residing in Bennington, Kansas. She has several ongoing series, including her sunrise series, a pastel portrait of the daily sunrise, which has accumulated over 1,100 sunrises and many collectors. She often paints food in still life set-ups as symbolic series, as well. Other work includes portrayals of land, people, and familiar objects to represent her home and life. In addition, Debbie is a mural artist and has painted many commercial murals in the Salina area. She will be assisting David Loewenstein this spring and summer, painting a mural in downtown Salina’s Campbell Plaza. According to her daughter, she is an expert at devouring large amounts of dark chocolate, ignoring towers of laundry piles, and exploring her children’s personal lives.
