A native daughter of the state of Kansas, Beverly’s home and painting studio are located in Lenexa. Her formal training began at the Kansas City Art Institute, Kansas City, MO. She helped to found The Amundson Group and AGI Inc., two graphic art and design firms before returning to fine art painting.

She has continued to hone her painting skills by working with such notable painters as Robert Byerly, Albert Handell, Daniel Greene, Burton Silverman and the late Harry Fredman. Beverly’s paintings have been exhibited in many prominent shows and galleries throughout the United States. Most recently at the 2009 CPS “Renaissance in Pastel”, Connecticut; “STEMS”, Overland Park, KS; Pastel Society of America’s “Pastels Only” Exhibitions, New York, New York 2005 and 2006; 2006 MidAmerica Pastel Society of America’s National Exhibition, St. Joseph, MO; Degas National Exhibitions, Louisiana; IAPS NationaL Exhibitions, Pennsylvania; CPS “Renaissance in Pastel” 2004, 2005, 2006; Hilton Head Art League’s National Exhibition, American Artist Professional League’s Grand National Exhibition in New York, Heartland National Exhibitions, Merriam, KS; William Woods University, Fulton, MO; Albrecht Kemper Museum, St. Joseph, MO and many shows sponsored by MidAmerica Pastel Society. She is a past president and Master member of MidAmerica Pastel Society, a Signature member of the Pastel Society of America, New York, a Charter member of the Portrait Society of America, also a member of the Kansas City Artists Coalition, the Degas Pastel Society, the American Society of Classical Realism and the Connecticut Pastel Society.

National show awards include Allied Artists of America Award, New York; Allied Artists of America Award, Connecticut; Degas Society, New Orleans, Salmagundi Club Award, Connecticut and a 2nd and 4th place locally in the 2009 “Stems”, Overland Park, KS. Beverly accepts commissions and may be reached at her studio by appointment. Her primary mediums are soft pastel, pencil or oils.
