I've been taking pictures since my high school years in 4-H and have worked as a journalist and photographer since college. Scenes in my pictures come from anywhere I can take my camera. Nature, at any scale, has been my favorite topic, but I have also done architecture, people, events and other subjects tied in with my family, travels and journalism jobs.
My goal is to encourage and inspire through images of God's world and some of my work is combined with scripture - leading to the title of my line, The Nature of God. All of my earlier work was with film, but now the majority is digital. I believe God's creation is amazing as it is, so little or nothing is done to change what my camera captures at any moment in time.
Pieces from The Nature of God line have been displayed at ARTichokes in Mission Farms; Homer's Coffee House, Overland Park; Buttonwood Art Space, Kansas City, Missouri; the Visions of the Flint Hills Show; Unity Church of Overland Park; Healthridge Fitness Center, Olathe ; First Art Gallery of Olathe and Imago Dei Art Center, Kansas City, Kansas. Several photographs have been featured in KANSAS! Magazine and calendar and in various art shows.
My husband Kent and I live in De Soto, Kansas where we have raised three boys and various pets over the years.
